Graveside services for Samuel "Sam" Lee Wall, 89, formerly of Pacolet, South Carolina, will be held Sunday, October 25, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Romayer Baptist Church Cemetery in Romayer, Texas with Pastor David Jones officiating.

Mr. Wall went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 16, 2020 at Spartanburg Medical Center. He was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina and was married to the late Vivian O. Wall for 36 years. At the time of his death, he was married to Betty Durham Bradley Wall of Pacolet, and he is the son of the late Clement Carl Wall and Alice Ridings Wall. He was the owner/operator of Barge Harbor Tugboat Company and faithful member of Brown's Chapel where he was a member of the Young at Heart and choir. Sam was a veteran of the Merchant Marines, and loved his family, traveling and gospel music. He never met a stranger and served as a Sunday School teacher at Inverness Assisted Living. He was also preceded in death by brothers, J.O. Wall, William A. Wall, and Junior Wall; sisters, Vernia W. Pearson and Gladys W. Parker; and stepdaughter, Janet Hinton.

He is survived his wife, Betty Wall of Pacolet; sons, Richard Wall (Nancy) and Roger Wall both of Texas; daughter, Carol Kornele (Tommy) of Texas; stepsons, Greg Bradley of Pacolet and Steve Powell (Ella) of Texas; stepdaughters, Wanda Wall (Steve) of Pacolet and Patricia Baber (Jim) of Texas; brother, J.C. Wall of Texas; along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Emily Grote and the entire staff of Inverness Assisted Living for the loving care over the last three years.
