Services for Sarah Jo Carpenter, 72, of Livingston, Texas will be held Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Johnny Barrett officiating. Visitation will be held on the day of service, from 1:00-2:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately.

Sarah Jo was born April 10, 1952 in Houston, Texas and passed January 25, 2025 in Spring, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde B. Payne, Sr.; and husband, Elmer James Carpenter.

She is survived by her mother, Alma M. Cude of Livingston, Texas; daughters, Angela Sims of Kingwood, Texas, Alicia Donoghue of Livingston, Texas, and Melissa Hunt and husband Eric of Atascocita, Texas; granddaughter Addison Hunt; grandsons, Ashton Hunt and wife Emily, Cal Jordan Sims and Jaxon Sims; great grandchildren, Mercy Hunt and Grayson Hunt; and brother, Clyde Barkley Payne and wife Mary; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Livingston ISD Green and White Scholarship.
