Scarlett Preslie Boles, 18, of Livingston, Texas was born March 6, 2007, in Cleveland, Texas and passed away August 12, 2025, in Livingston, Texas.

Our family was not expecting the loss of Scarlett or for her life to be cut short so soon. We are devastated by this loss and will feel the absence of Scarlett forever. She was the most loving and caring soul and a joy to be around. She will be forever missed. She loved to be with her family and friends. She was always on the go, and she loved to be around people and try new things. She loved to paint and listen to music.

Scarlett loved so many and was loved by many more. She had an energy that with even just one encounter with her, you would remember her for life.

If you knew her well or barely at all, she always made you want more time with her. She left her mark.

Scarlett will always be remembered for her gentleness, grace, and kindness toward others. She always seemed to look after others and would put others before herself.

She will continue to stay with us all through memories, and the laughs she forced us all to endure whether we were in the mood for it or not. We will see her everywhere. With her tank tops and her Nike dunks and anytime you hear anything related to one of her many hobbies and obsessions.

She left the pain, but she also left us all and we will never be the same again. Now she is no longer in pain, yet we will continue to hurt.

At this time, we must come together and remember the good time we all had with her.

Scarlett, we love you baby! We're so proud of what you accomplished in your short time on Earth. You were born with some type of power that had people gravitate toward you. You never complained! You will forever be our sunshine.

She is preceded in death by her great aunt, Charlotte Crawford; great uncle, Eugene Clause; brother, Jove Douglas Blum; and grandmother, Donna Lockler.

Scarlett is survived by her mother and father who raised her, Ashley and Chris Darville; father who raised her and his wife, Robert and Virginia Blum; biological father, Henry Boles; brothers, R.J. Blum, Noah Blum, Christopher Darville, and Robert Wylie; sisters, Emily Wylie and Ruby Tighe; maternal grandparents, Greg and Loretta Basham; paternal grandfather, Richard Darville; paternal grandmother, Caroline Cuello; paternal grandfather, Robert Lynn Blum; paternal grandmother, Tanya Daniels; paternal grandfather, Henry Boles Sr.; uncle and aunt, Jeffrey and Laura Boles; aunt, Merissa Mahan; uncle and aunt, Greg and Sabrina Basham; aunt and uncle, Candice and Norman Mastelez; along with numerous cousins, other family members and friends.
