Funeral services for Jeffrey Scott Nelson, 60, of Goodrich, Texas, will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Kevan Wood officiating.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the First Baptist Church.

Scott Nelson was born September 4, 1962 in Texas City, Texas to parents Tommy Lee Nelson and Muriel Louise (Walker) Nelson and passed away September 1, 2023 in Kingwood, Texas.  He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Steve Nelson; and sister-in-law, Joann Nelson.

Scott is survived by his wife, DaWanda (Melton) Nelson of Goodrich, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Magen Rutland and T.J. of Spicewood, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Mark Lovell and Araceli of Kingwood, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Rachel Angel and Genaro of Goodrich, Texas, Claire Hahn and Matt of Staunton, Virginia; grandchildren, Lance Rutland, Colton Rutland, Mason Rutland, Gerardo Azarte, Emily Lovell, Kaylee Sue, Lillian Lovell, Camila Lovell, Hailey Angel, Lilianna Angel, Zaiden Moreno, Liam Moreno, Jordan Hahn, Cormac Hahn and Walden Hahn; brother, Mark Nelson of Goodrich, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie Darwin and Todd of Bayou Vista, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
