Funeral services for Sharon S. Miller, 73, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Sister Carla Busby officiating. Interment will follow in the Alabama~Coushatta Reservation Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. A wake will be on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel.

Sharon was born June 3, 1948 in Livingston, Texas and passed away April 15, 2022 in Livingston, Texas. She worked for 20 & 1/2 years as the Public Relation Director at the Alabama~Coushatta Reservation.  Sharon is preceded in death by her mother, Susanna Sylestine; sisters, Frances Battise and Avie Alec; brother, Billy Sylestine; nephews, Kevin Battise, Lester Battise, Jr., and Obrey Alec; great nephew, Logan Alec.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Myra Sylestine of the Alabama~Coushatta Reservation: niece Vicki Battise Yellowfish and Ricky of El Reno, Oklahoma; niece, Teresa Battise of the Alabama~Coushatta Reservation; nephews, Lyndon Alec and Rebecca of Livingston, Texas, Cecil Alec, Jr.,  also of Livingston, Texas; niece, Paula Alec of Woodville, Texas; nephews, Fred Alec of Livingston, Texas, Willo Sylestine and Cheryl of the Alabama~Cousahatta Reservation, Reginald Sylestine and Denise of Orange, Texas; niece, Allison Poncho of the Alabama~Coushatta Reservation; nephew, Frank Sylestine and Rashyal, of the Alabama~Coushatta Reservation; best friend and cousin, Joyce Abbey Poncho, also of the Alabama~Coushatta Reservation; 26 great nieces and great nephews; 31 great-great nieces and great-great nephews; 3 great-great-great nieces and nephews; along with numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

Sharon will be escorted to her grave by pallbearers Taylor Thompson, Bruce Battise, Drew Poncho, Brendan Sylestine, Manning Robinson, Matthew Battise, Ricky Yelloowfish, Jr., and Kinney Alec.
