Funeral services for Shirley Jean Burleson, 57, of Rye, Texas, will be held Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. in the Pace Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Steve Waldrep officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 26, 2017 beginning at 4:00 p.m. until the service begins.

Mrs. Burleson was born August 13, 1960 in Port Arthur, Texas, to parents, Wilburn "Harvey" Holmes and Eunice Eyvonne (Lucas) Holmes, and passed away November 22, 2017 in Livingston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Timothy Abshere; sister, Norma Palamo; and brother, James Holmes.

She is survived by her husband, Garry Ray Burleson of Rye, Texas; daughters, Brandi Abshere and Melani Burleson both of Rye, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Maegan and Edher Rico of Richmond, Texas; grandchildren, Cora Abshere, Olivia Abshere, Madison Abshere, Elana Grimaldo, Paislee Varela, Tristan Rico, Jakob Rico, Brady Rico; brothers, Charlie Holmes of Arkansas, Mark Holmes of Houston, Texas, and Lloyd MGallion of Houston, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
