Funeral services for Shirley Boehm Haley, 81, of Livingston, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 11, 2017 in the Blanchard Baptist Church in Livingston, Texas with Dr. Fred Alford officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 10, 2017 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Mrs. Haley was born August 2, 1935 in Lampasas, Texas to parents, Henry Farmer and Willie Mae (Archie) Farmer, and passed away on July 6, 2017 in Livingston, Texas. During her life, Shirley was a very active person. She worked with pre-kindergarten children in vacation bible school at the Blanchard Baptist Church where she was a member for many years. Shirley was also a member of the Friendship Class at Blanchard Baptist. She was active in the Polk County Garden Club, Lakeside Homemakers, Red Hats and many others. She received the Woman of the Year Award in Livingston for her dedication with the youth and other services in the city. Shirley was District III Director of the Garden Club and held many chairman jobs while working with the youth and the Texas Garden Club. She will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ervin James Boehm Sr.; sisters, Ruby Chandler and Gladys Cunningham; brother, Archie Farmer; and step-son, Roger Haley.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Haley of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Cheryl Boehm of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Patricia Rainey and husband, Wayne of Humble, Texas; son, Ervin James Boehm Jr. and Donna of Baytown, Texas; step-sons, Bobby Haley of Missouri, Brian Haley and wife, Tabitha of Arkansas, Dale Haley of Missouri, and Douglas Haley of Missouri; twin sister, Patsy Ruth Miller and husband, Robert of Livingston, Texas; and special friend, Mary Churchman of Livingston, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
