Obituary
Graveside services for Shirley Ray, 90, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Steve Waldrep officiating.
Mrs. Shirley Ray passed away at her home in Sulphur Springs on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the age of 90.
She and her husband, Vernon, moved to Livingston in 1973. Shirley remained in Livingston after Vernon's passing in 1988 until 2003 when she relocated to Princeton, Texas to be closer to her family. She settled in Sulphur Springs in 2007 where she enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with her friends and pets.
She is survived by her three children and their spouses; Tom Ray (Valerie) of Plano, Linda (Jim) Milburn of Rowlett, Darrell (Darlene) Ray of Wimberley; granddaughter, Alyson Ray; other blended family members and church friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon, her brothers, Donald and Walter Bliss, and her sisters, Betty Kruse and Midge Earls.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Changed Life Church 1119 Shannon Road Sulphur Springs, TX 75482.
