Funeral services for Shirley Savell, age 65, of Onalaska, Texas will be held Friday September 18, 2009 at 11:00 in the chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Onalaska, Texas with Tommy Matlock and Mike Hogg officiating and interment to follow in the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska. Pallbearers will be ""Big"" Dave Shomer, Ferney Echeverry, Ron Gilbert, Roy Newport, Greg Smith and Jay Stutts. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lew Vail, Bill Cunningham and Carl Cruse.

She was involved in the American Business Women' Association, Partners for Pearland, Onalaska Fire And Rescue, and the Lion' Club.

She was born June 5, 1944 in New Orleans, Louisiana the daughter of James A. Matlock and Shirley Woolen Matlock and passed away September 15, 2009 in Onalaska, Texas.

She is survived by her husband Charles Savell of Onalaska, Lisa Renee?ÇÖ Echeverry, daughter of Atascocita, Cynthia Lee Power, daughter of Pearland, Kelsey Marie McMullan, granddaughter , Kaitlin Ivey McMullan, granddaughter, Camryn Mae McMullan, granddaughter, and Zachery Charles Power, grandson, Tommy Matlock, brother, Jimmy Matlock, brother, and Sandra Ellis, Aunt. She was preceded in death by her parents.
