Shirley Treadway

Funeral services for Shirley Treadway, 82, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Sunday, August 30, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Casey Broome officiating. Interment will follow at the Holhausen-Darby Cemetery in Moscow, Texas. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., before the service begins.

Mrs. Treadway was born June 2, 1944, in Pasadena, Texas and passed away August 27, 2026, in Houston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred Matlock and Eva (McIlvain) Matlock; husband, Jimmy Treadway; grandson, Landon Clay Laird; sister, Nelda West; and brother, Gene Matlock.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharee and Wess Brabits; daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Rick Childress; grandchildren, Jody Purvis Jenkins, Jessica Broome and Casey, A.J. Laird, Steven Laird and Kali Jo, Blaine Childress, and Blake Childress; great grandchildren, Delanie Romero and Toby, Addison Kate Lowe, Catherine Broome, Thomas Broome, Claire Carson Broome, Roper Laird, Ryder Laird, and Remi Laird; great-great grandbaby, Ainsley Kate Romero who is on the way; and sisters, Jeanette Dixon and Jo Ann Whitley; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

A special thank you to Heart to Heart Hospice for their care, support, and love over the last 3 years and as she took her final journey home.
