Funeral services for Sidney Poncho, 68, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Friday, May 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Indian Village Assembly of God Church in Livingston, Texas. Interment will follow in the Alabama-Coushatta Reservation Cemetery. Pastor Keith Tucker will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 20, 2021, at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Poncho was born September 27, 1952 in Livingston, Texas to parents David Poncho and Eloise (Battise) Poncho, and passed away May 17, 2021 in Houston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Irene Williams; and sister, Laverne Rivera.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Grace Poncho of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Shaa Poncho, son, Colin Poncho, grandson, Brooks Williams, and granddaughters, Anisah Williams and Leiton Williams, all of Livingston, Texas; brothers, James "Cody" Poncho and wife, Christene of Livingston, Texas, Vernon B. Poncho and wife, Geraldine of Bylas, Arizona, Adrian Poncho of Irving, Texas, Marcell Poncho of Livingston, Texas, and sister, Ida Langley of Livingston, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends.

Mr. Poncho was a member of the Indian Village Assembly of God Church, where he served as Head Deacon. He worked for the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas for numerous years holding various positions including Procurement Officer, Housing Director, and Gym Caretaker. He also served as an elected Tribal Council Member for several terms.
