Stacy Lynn Guthrie of Livingston, TX passed away on September 4, 2021 after 50 short years.

Stacy was a man of lasting legacy. He would best be described as strong, hardworking, funny, and patriotic. He genuinely enjoyed life, and those who loved him enjoyed theirs a little more when he was around. He was a loyal friend that cherished those around him. He was a man of great accomplishments and talent, but he was most proud of his loving family.

Stacy was truly a man that could do it all. From drawing pictures, to building houses. From catching sharks to catching Pokémon. He knew how to cook an awesome omelet, and how to escape a sinking helicopter. He had epic tales of adventure, and the scars to prove them. He flew through stormy skies, rode across raging seas, and drove through the night to be with his family.

He was a loving husband, who cherished Wendy, his wife of 29 years, as his best friend. He devoted his life to loving and providing for her, he had no other love in this world than her.

No son could ask for a better father. He provided the knowledge and experience of a master craftsman, mechanic, husband and father. He always expected the best, and he always gave his best in return. He taught his sons how to drive, weld, paint, build, provide, protect, and love.

He was a shining example of salvation. Those who knew him, know he was a brand-new man, born again in Christ. Few others had a repentant heart as evident as his. While we will miss him here on earth, we will never forget him. We will cherish the memories he gave us, and hold on to the love he showed us. We await the day we can see him again, for our words cannot do him justice.

Stacy is survived by his loving wife, Wendy Guthrie; sons, Nathan Guthrie and wife Kayla, Nicholas Guthrie; granddaughter, Anna Lynn; father, David Miller; sister, Lesley Stowe and husband, Josh; along with countless other family and friends.

The family will be hosting a visitation at Cochran funeral home on Monday, September 13, 2021, from 5-7 PM. The Celebration of Life will be held at Central Baptist Church, 503 N east Ave, Livingston, TX 77351, on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 2 PM.
