Funeral services for Stede Ray Grissom, 43, of Dayton, Texas, will be held Friday, October 1, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Crosby American Legion Post #658 located at 14890 FM 2100 in Crosby, Texas with Bonjie Rodriquez officiating. Interment will follow in the Sterling White Cemetery in Highlands, Texas. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Stede was born March 31, 1978 in Baytown, Texas, to parents, Gordon Ray Grissom and Diane Louise (Goings) Grissom, and passed away September 22, 2021 in Dayton, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by wife, Cassandra Grissom of Dayton; daughter, McKenzie "Kenzie" Grissom of Dayton; sisters, Stacy Riendeau and husband, Marshall of Crosby, Dana Collins and husband, David of Shepherd, and Patricia Cougot and husband, Colin of Livingston; sister-cousin, Megan Grissom-West and husband, Cody of Madisonville; nieces and nephews, Chelsea Jones-Riendeau, Ciara Riendeau, Trevor Collins, Hannah Collins, Jordana Collins, Brianna Cougot, and Seth Cougot; great-nieces, Khloe Jones-Riendeau and Bristol Collins;  and mother-in-law, Ernestine "Maw" Wallace of Dayton; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
