Obituary
Funeral services for Stella Mae Parten, 83, of Livingston, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Midway Community Church in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Robert Smith officiating. Interment will follow at the Midway Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will begin at 12:00 P.M. until service begins at Midway Community Church in Livingston, Texas.
Mrs. Parten was born August 30, 1931 in Goss, Texas to parents, Wyatt Cole and R.V. (Goins) Christian and passed away on February 17, 2015 in Woodville, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mildred Barnett and brother, Jimmy Cole.
She is survived by her husband, Charles R. Parten of Livingston, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Bob Parten and wife, Linda of Houston, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Duane and Liz Parten of Angleton, Texas; grandchildren, Ben Parten, Bethany Parten, Megan Parten, Jim Parten, Derek Parten; four great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Nell Carnes of Tarkington Prairie, Texas; special friends, Jim and LaJohna Newbould and family; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A special thanks to Gentiva Hospice, especially her aide, Eddie Mae Bookman, and nurse, Kamri Garrison.
