Steven Dean Moore 62 of Onalaska passed away Monday May 18, 2009 in Galveston. A Memorial service will be held in his honor Sunday May 23, 2009 at 2:00PM in the Cochran Funeral Home Onalaska Chapel with Rev. Dale Snell officiating.

Steve was born September 17, 1946 in Salem, Illinois to parents Orville Dean Moore and Ladema Lee Linn Moore Williams. He grew up in Bellaire, Texas and attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Tx for 4 years and then pursued his passion in photography. He graduated in 1981 with a B.S. form Brooks Institute of Photography based in Santa Barbaral, California. After graduation, he returned to Texas to start his family and was blessed with two beautiful children, Jody and Nelson who he raised. He worked for Methodist Hospital as a medical photographer for many years, and he recently retired to live in Onalaska. Steve was first and formost a loving and devoted father; he was also a avid sportsman and adventurer, a gifted writer and artist, and he touched many people''s lives with his unique brand of humor, insight and compassion.

He is preceded in death by his parents and step father Harley H. Williams.

Steve is survived by his loving children Jody Evelyn Moore and Nelson Dean Moore, brother Claude Linn Moore and wife Laneva, nephew Christopher Dale Moore and wife Michelle great nephews Collin Christopher Moore and Drake Mitchell Moore and niece Carrie Michelle Moore. He also survived by many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
