Funeral services for Steven Ray Shown, 21, of Leggett, Texas, will be held Saturday February 19, 2011 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston with Travis Jackson officiating and interment to follow in the Camp Ruby Cemetery in Livingston. Pallbearers will be Randy Hinson, Trae Hinson, KC Wells, Jose Diosdado, Adam Jackson, Anthony Garcia, James Munson, Billy Kelly and Dustin Morgan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Kipfer, Gary Smith, David Wooldridge, Tyron Frederick, Jimmy Brossette and Thomas Jarrell.
He was born October 20, 1989 in Livingston, Texas to Connie Shown and the late Virgil Ray Shown and received his angel wings on February 12, 2011.
Steven grew up in Leggett, Texas where he attended Leggett ISD and graduated in 2008.
Steven was one of two children born to his mother, Connie. Steven will forever be remembered by his devoted mother, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him, he loved his mother very much and thought highly of his step father, Michael Kipfer. Steven was a very proud and loving daddy to his sons Dylan and Dakota.
Steven and Connie created a life of happiness and togetherness like no other mother-son relationship, he admired his mother and loved to make her laugh and enjoy life. He dearly loved his son Dakota Ray Shown who preceded him in death. He anticipated being a great father to Dylan and to be able to love and provide for him for a lifetime.
Steven planned to attend Angelina College to pursue a career as a phlebotomist which was shortened by his untimely death. He prided himself in looking his best and kept a well maintained appearance and physique. He loved listening to music, playing basketball, UFC fights, laughing, enjoyed being with his family, and having fun with his friends. There was a special place in his heart for all animals. Steven touched the lives of many people with his smile, kindness, his humor and kind spirit.
