Memorial services for Susan Yvonne (Guillory) Thompson, 62, of Point Blank, Texas will be held Monday, August 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, Texas with Bro. Steve Waldrep officiating.

Mrs. Thompson was born August 28, 1955 in Houston, Texas to parents, Melvin Guillory and Mary Sue (Woodfield) Mayes, and passed away August 11, 2018 in Lufkin, Texas. During her life, Susan was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who cared for her family. She had an outpouring of love for all of her family and was loved by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her mother; sister, Cynthia Bartley; brother, Melvin Guillory Jr.; granddaughter, Cassia Anderson; great-grandson, Remington Anderson; and nephew, Gary Bartley.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny A. Thompson Sr. of Point Blank, Texas; son, Johnny A. Thompson Jr. of College Station, Texas; daughter, Mary Frances Carn of College Station, Texas; father, Melvin Guillory of Pasadena, Texas; sister, Frances Hernandez and husband, Lupe of Pasadena, Texas; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roy H. and Ruth Thompson of Longview, Texas; grandchildren, Matthew Zimmerman of Fort Polk, Louisiana, and Tashana Carn, Alaiya Carn, Terrence Carn, Sabrina Thompson, and Benjamin Anderson all of College Station; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
