Susanna Sylestine Duhon 85 of Livingston passed away Saturday October 11, 2008 in Woodville. Funeral services were held Tuesday October 14, 2008 at 10:00AM in the Indian Presbyterian Church, with Rev. David Busby and Debbie Kleinman officiating. Burial followed in the Indian Reservation Cemetery.

Susanna was born February 24, 2008 in Livingston to parents Frank W. and Frances B. Battise Sylestine. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Leroy Duhon, daughter Avie Alec, grandson Lester Battise, Jr., and brothers James Monroe Sylestine, and Martin Sylestine.

She is survived by her daughters Frances Battise of Livingston, Sharon Miller of Livingston and son Billy Frank Sylestine and wife Myra of Livingston, grandchildren Kevin Battise, Vicki Yellowfish, Teresa Battise, Obrey Alec, Lyndon Alec, Cecil Alec, Jr., Paula Alec, Fred Alec, William C. Sylestine, Reginald Ryan Sylestine, Allison Poncho and Frank C. Sylestine. Her 28 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, 2 nieces, and 2 nephews also survive her.

Serving as pallbearers will be Taylor Thompson, Matthew Long, Bruce Battise Sr., Micah Robinson, Tobine Alec, Kenny Alec, Ricky Yellowfish Jr., Logan Alec, Manning Robinson, Chad Alec. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Nettles, Ted Weatherly, John Peveto and all her grandchildren.
