Funeral services for Tallsun John "T.J." Obe, 27, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Indian Village Assembly of God Church in Livingston, Texas with Rev. David Busby and Rev. Aaron Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2018, beginning at 6:00 p.m., in the Indian Village Assembly of God Church in Livingston, Texas.

T.J. was born July 6, 1991 to parents, Darren Obe Sr. and Derinda (Williams) Obe, and passed away July 14, 2018 in Livingston, Texas. Tallsun is of the Beaver Clan from the Alabama-Coushatta tribe of Texas. He was well mannered and respectful to his peers and elders, and enjoyed everyone's presence. Sports was a big interest in his life, especially the Houston Texans and Rockets; his favorite collegiate teams included Oklahoma football and Kansas basketball. Besides spectating and participating in sports he also enjoyed music and art. He was a devoted young man who was proud of his tribal culture and heritage. Tallsun is loved by many and will be deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, John Peter Williams; uncle, Ronald King Obe; and great aunt, Mary Obe Williams.

He is survived by his parents, Darren and Derinda Obe Sr. of the Reservation; sister, Sequoia Obe of Norman, Oklahoma; brother, Darren Obe Jr. of the Reservation; grandparents, Donald and Anna Lou Obe of the Reservation; grandmother, Julia Lowe of Elton, Louisiana; uncle and aunt, Clint and YoLanda Poncho of the Reservation; aunt and uncle, Marcie and Lawrence Victorian of Elton, Louisiana; uncle and aunt, Levi and Janie Johnson of Elton, Louisiana; uncle and aunt, Casey and Kristen Johnson of Kinder, Louisiana; along with numerous other aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Nathan Williams, Curtis Williams, Laine Langley, Timothy Williams, Shaundai Poncho, Kasign Williams, Bradley Williams, Dane Williams.
