Tamarha "Tammy" Lynn Swihart

Tamarha “Tammy” Lynn Swihart, born on October 3, 1967, in the charming city of Corpus Christi, Texas, graced this world with her luminous presence until July 22, 2026. Her peaceful passing, surrounded by her beloved sister Samantha, niece Bailey, and a team of caring nurses, marks the end of a life lived with love, joy, and generosity.

Tammy was the cherished daughter of the late Phil Swihart and Sandy Springer. She was also loved by her stepfather, the late Jim Springer. Her brother Michael Swihart, stepbrother Anthony Martin, and grandparents Warren Sykes, Juanita McBride, and Arthur and Ruby Swihart predeceased her, and she is now reunited with them in eternal peace.

Her legacy continues through her surviving family, including her devoted siblings: Samantha Hill and her husband Chris, Joy Martin, Lesa Farthing and her husband Mike, Richard Martin and his wife Mardel, Rob Duckett and his wife Jessi, Wayne Duckett and his wife Leighann, and Sherry Caraway McKay. Tammy's love extended deeply to her nieces and nephews: Bailey Romero and her husband CJ, Jayce Sullivan and her family Peyton and Kayce Mae, Victoria Hill and her family Chad, Memphis, and Beckett, Lori Slaughter and her husband Christopher, Jordan Martin and his family Annie and Beau, Austin Martin and fiance Kadence, Preston Sullivan, Wade Sullivan, John Farthing and his family Tyler, Jessika, Burton, and Lou-Casee, Kerwin Hill and his family Sydnie, Kellah, Keaston, and Karoline, Chase Hill and his family Megan, Hallie, and Harper, Jason Farthing and Autumn, and Jarett Smith and his family Kristin, Hudson, and Haydon. Tammy's extended family, whom she cherished deeply, along with her best friends of over 30 years, Susan Bratton and Charles "Bubba" Stump, will forever remember her generous spirit.

A proud graduate of Magnolia High School in 1986, Tammy dedicated her life to caring for children, nurturing them from infancy to school age with warmth and affection. Her home was a haven of joy, and she treasured the lifelong connections she formed with the children she babysat and their families.

Tammy's passions were as vibrant as her spirit. She adored fishing, although she humorously refused to take the fish off the hook. Her love for Dr Pepper was well-known, as was her unwavering dedication to BINGO—an activity she relished and never missed. Above all, it was her family that held the most special place in her heart.

Known for her warm and welcoming smile, Tammy touched the lives of everyone she met. Her compassionate nature and love for others were hallmarks of her character, making her a beacon of light in the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all the medical professionals at Memorial Hermann Northeast, Park Manor of Humble, and Heart to Heart Hospice for their compassionate care.

As we remember Tammy, we find solace in the words of John 11:25-26: "Jesus told her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die.'"

May Tammy's soul rest in eternal peace, her memory forever cherished in the hearts of all who loved her.

A celebration of Tammy's life will be held on August 14, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Lake Livingston State Park - Activity Center, located at 300 State Park Rd 65, Livingston, TX 77351.
