Thelma Irene Mitchell, 83, of Point Blank, Texas was born March 25, 1934 to her mother, Florence O'Brien in the vicinity of Bradford in White County in rural Arkansas in the foothills of the Ozarks. She passed away from this life to a better one on December 5, 2017 in Point Blank, Texas. She is preceded in death by her mother.

Thelma was raised by her grandparents, Molly and Mack O'Brien of Bradford, Arkansas. She married Paul Hilliard Mitchell on April 28, 1953. She was the mother of five children: Ronald Paul Mitchell of Bayview, Texas, Donald Hilliard Mitchell of Point Blank, Texas, Robert Lee Mitchell (deceased), Perry Joe Mitchell of Bacliff, Texas, and Judy Mildred Hardin of League City, Texas.

Thelma was a wonderful wife and mother but she considered her greatest joy and accomplishment to be her life as a Christian. She was a member of the Northside Church of Christ in Livingston, Texas when she passed away. She will be greatly missed on this earth but has now inherited a new and wonderful home for an eternity. Goodbye loved one until we meet again in the eternal Heavens. Amen.
