Memorial services for Theresa Elsner Bergkvist, 76, of Coldspring, Texas, will be held Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Calvary Baptist Church in Coldspring, Texas with Bro. Mike Minter officiating.

Ms. Bergkvist was born September 26, 1942 in San Antonio, Texas, to parents, Leonard Arthur Elsner Sr. and Joan Marie (Fortier) Elsner, and passed away November 23, 2018 in Livingston, Texas. During her lifetime, Theresa raised five children and three grandchildren on her own. She worked at the USAA for 15 years. She had a heart for gardening and loved dogs while taking in all the stray dogs she found. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Leonard Arthur Elsner Jr. and Christian Joseph Elsner; and sister, Jeanett Elsner.

She is survived by her son, Joel Bergkvist IV of Coldspring, Texas; daughter, Elaine Neathery and Jeff of San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Joan Elizabeth Moore of San Antonio, Texas; son, Timothy Bergkvist and Laura of San Antonio, Texas; son, Matthew Bergkvist and Crystal of Kingman, Arizona; grandchildren, Gary, Billy, Jennifer, Daneile, Christopher, Eric, Leah, and Rebecca; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert James Elsner and Christina of San Antonio, Texas, Michael William Elsner and Birdie of Kingwood, Texas, Carl Richard Elsner of League City, Texas, and Patrick Jerome Elsner and Debbie of San Antonio, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
