Mr. Thomas Wade Bruffy, 80, of Onalaska, Texas was born on December 10, 1937 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to parents, Donald Wade Bruffy and Jewel Marie (Barger) Bruffy and passed away September 7, 2018 in Onalaska, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sharon Bruffy; and brother, Donald Len Bruffy.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Betty Cox Bruffy of Onalaska, Texas; daughter, Dawn Bruffy Kornegay and husband, David of Kingwood, Texas; son, Gregory Thomas Bruffy and wife, Karen St. Andrie of Kingwood, Texas; grandson, Dylan Kornegay of Kingwood, Texas; aunt, Virginia Swift of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; nephew, David C. Tipp of Hawkins, Texas; and beloved pets, Jack and Jenny; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in support of diabetes research, training and education at Houston Methodist. Donations can be mailed to the Houston Methodist Hospital Foundation, PO Box 4384, Houston, Texas 77210-4384

A private memorial service will held at a later date.
