Thomas Matthew “Matt” Arbaugh, 60, of Moscow, Texas was born October 14, 1965, in Houston, Texas and passed away September 1, 2026, in Longview, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Hampton Arbaugh and Mattalou (McCoubrey) Arbuagh; and brother, James “Skipper” Arbaugh.
Matt was entirely unique. He loved riding motorcycles, riding lawnmowers, tractors and anything else on wheels. He was a talented handyman, carpenter and mechanic for any type of machine. He also loved animals, especially his pets. Bonnie will miss her daddy every day. Matt was very knowledgeable of every aspect of the Steel production business, having worked in the industry for 36 years. Everyone he met, was a friend and he had hundreds. He built lifelong relationships with people who will feel his loss for the rest of their lives. Lance and Jason will miss him immensely.
Most of all, Matt was a devoted, loving husband. He adored his wife of 36 years, Michelle, and she never doubted it. He gave her the freedom to pursue any career move she made and always supported any endeavor she tackled. He was a true gentleman, who was raised by a gentleman. Michelle is utterly crushed by the loss of her love. She is lost without his strength, compassion and deep love, and will surely never recover.
He is survived by his wife; stepson, Steve Lowrance and Norma; stepdaughter, Elysse Arrington; and 5 step grandchildren; along with numerous other loved ones and friends.
