Visitation for Thomas Jefferson Rice Jr., 90, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Interment will immediately follow in the Rice Cemetery in Leggett, Texas.

Mr. Rice was born on July 9, 1927 in Ollie, Texas to parents, Thomas J. Rice Sr. and Sara Ludie (Martin) Rice, and passed away on January 20, 2018 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rachel Rice; and son, Craig Rice.

He is survived by his son, Michael Rice and wife, Marilyn of Livingston, Texas; son, Gary Rice of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Teresa McVeigh of Brunswick, Maine; son, Kyle Rice and wife, Pam of Houston, Texas; son, Chris Rice and wife, Mindy of Ollie, Texas; grandchildren, Heather and Christian, Sean, Katy and J.P., Tessa, Meghan and Nick, Cassy, Emily and Jeremy; great-grandchildren, Audrey, Ella, Dean, and Nathan; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the N.H. Rice Cemetery Association; ATTN: Ann Hill; 107 Holly Hill Dr.; Livingston, Texas 77351. The family will still accept flowers at the funeral home.
