Thomas Jay Salyards, 75, of Livingston, Texas was born in Vidor, Texas on July 4, 1945 to parents, Charles Leroy Salyards and Nancy Eugenia (Roundtree) Salyards and passed away October 7, 2020 in Houston, Texas.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and later worked as a building contractor.  Thomas is preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Salyards is survived by his wife Barbara (Harrington) Salyards of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Leah Renee Hufstetler of San Augustine, Texas; son Corey Michael Salyards of Kirbyville, Texas; brothers, Leroy Salyards of Longview, Texas and Robert (Bobby) Salyards of Jacksonville, Texas; sister, Mary Jean Reynolds of Livingston, Texas; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; along with other relatives and friends.
