Obituary

Tony Wright 42 of Livingston passed away Thursday October 30, 2008. Funeral services were held Saturday November 1, 2008 at 2:00PM in the Livingston Church of Christ with Lindell Mitchell officiating. Burial followed in the Wright Family Cemetery in Livingston.

Tony was born November 1, 1965 in Knoxville, TN., to parents Earl Carter Wright and Carolyn Pass Browning. He married Conna Gregory Wright on July 7, 2006. He was the consummate athlete, winning at whatever sport and game he attempted. He excelled especially at football, basketball, and track having won 19 trophies and 15 first and second place ribbons during his high school years.

Tony showed grit and determination in the face of adversity and thought not of himself but of those that he loved. Tony knew he was dying and throughout his last years encouraged other to remain strong and to most importantly never lose faith in God. He discouraged feelings of anger and through his example hearts were opened to acceptance and forgiveness. He met death graciously, and wife deep faith, and wife the knowledge he would be welcomed in to the open arms of our Savior Jesus Christ. Thank you my Love for our years of complete happiness and trust, you are my love and my life. You will remain forever in my heart.

He is survived by his wife Conna Wright of Livingston, father and step mother Earl C. and Kathy Wright of Eads, TN., mother and step father Carolyn and Willie Browning of Memphis, TN., father in law and mother in law J.C. and Margie Robicheaux of Livingston, brothers Michael Wright and wife Shawn, Dwayne Wright, and Robert Browning and wife Jamie, special aunt and uncle Joyce and Henry Morton, step daughters Rachael Russell and husband Dusty, and Misty Smith. He is also survived by his grandchildren Joey & B.J. Mottu, Liam Morales, Geoffrey Williams, Layla Russell, nieces and nephews; Andrew Wright, Anna Wright, Hanna Wright and Elizabeth Browning, brother in law and sister in law James and Verna Wright, and last but not least his special friends Peter Bellamy, Bente Hjortshoej and Jenny McGlocklan.

Serving as pallbearers were Dusty Russell, Charles Risden, Roman Olvera, Cal Greiner, James Crabtree, J.C. Robicheaux, honorary pallbearers were Joey Mottu, B.J. Mottu, Liam Morales, and Geoffrey Williams.
