Memorial services for Troy Dwayne Doolan, 61, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Benny Fogleman officiating.

Troy Dwayne Doolan of Livingston TX, born August 13, 1959 peacefully passed away on June 17, 2021 at the age of 61. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lillie Perry; his father, Joe Frederick Doolan; stepfather, Doniree Robert Lee Perry; and step-sister, Mary Biggerstaff.

Troy is survived by his best friend and partner, Terry Whiteside; sons, Troy Doolan Jr. and wife, Brittany, Andy Doolan, Jason Placker and wife, Kim, and Erik Placker and wife, Dana; daughters, Tia Monjaras and husband, Ronnie, Pam Whiteside, and Sarah Istre; brothers, Gillette Doolan and wife, Sandy, Curtis Doolan and wife, Stephanie, Ronald Perry and wife, Marcella, and Robert Perry and wife, Shirley; sister, Martha Jevas; 14 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born and raised in Pasadena TX, Troy developed a passion for music at a young age that he carried into the rest of his life, playing the drums in several bands over the years. Throughout his life he was known as an affectionate and loyal partner, loving brother, caring father, and doting grandfather. Troy's affectionate and nurturing personality served him well, not only in his personal life but also his professional life, where, as a 30 plus year veteran of the medical field, he developed close and impactful relationships with countless patients. It is these character traits that he will be most remembered by, and deeply missed.
