Obituary
Funeral services for Vada Lee Burks, 80, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Monday, June 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Don Goodwin officiating. Interment will follow in the Camp Ruby Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. until the service begins in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Mrs. Burks was born January 11, 1936 in Livingston, Texas to parents, James H. Wiggins and Ada (Simmons) Wiggins, and passed away on June 1, 2016 in Livingston, Texas. She married Homer Burks on September 3, 1955 in the Beech Creek Assembly of God Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Homer Burks; and brothers, Sol Wiggins and Bill Wiggins.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Sherry Burks of Onalaska, Texas; special daughter, Ute Porath of Frankfurt, Germany; niece and husband, Brenda and John Clifton of Livingston, Texas; nephews and spouses, Ronnie and Janet Wiggins of Livingston, Texas and Billy Sol and Leona Wiggins of Livingston, Texas; nephew and friend, Jimmy Wiggins and Paula of Livingston, Texas; niece, Tammy Neuwirth of Crosby, Texas; granddaughters, Ashley Burks and Kimberly Porath both of Frankfurt, Germany; along with numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
