Obituary
Funeral services for Van Buren Scott, age 87, of Livingston, will be Monday December 1, 2008, graveside at the Camp Ground Cemetery in Tyler County, Texas, at 3:00pm with Rev. Barry Jeffries officiating. Military Honors provided by VFW Post #8568.
Mr. Scott was born April 26, 1921 in Mineola, Texas the son of Grover Cleveland Scott and Ima Russell Woods Scott, and passed away Friday November 28, 2008 in Livingston at Timberwood Nursing Home.
He served in WWII in the Army Air Corp.
He is survived by his grandchildren, Wayne & Jeanette Scott, Jr. of Colorado Springs, Co., and Amy & Willie Jernigan of Livingston, Texas, great grandchildren, Wayne Scott III, Taylor Scott, Olivia Scott, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Jazmyn Jernigan, Briauna Jernigan and Kevyn Jernigan of Livingston, brother, David Scott, of Mineola, Texas and mother of Amy & Wayne, Pearlene Nelson of Livingston.
He is preceded in death by his wife Evelyn ""Broom"" Scott, son, Wayne Scott, brother, Grover Scott and sister, Sybil.
