Funeral services for Vance Neathery, 98, will be held Monday, August 13, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Rev. David Jones. Interment will follow in the Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the service begins at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 13, 2018.

Mr. Neathery passed peacefully on August 8 surrounded by his loving family. He served in the US Navy during World War II as a communications technician and helped develop airborne radar systems. He worked for 24 years for Gulf Oil Company as a communications technician and an additional 10 years for Fisk Electric Company as a project manager. He was given an award for 70 years of service by the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 74 years Gloria; three children, Vance (wife Charlsie), Nolan (wife Constanze) and Anita (husband Marc); four grandchildren, Catherine, Christopher, Aaron, and Kevin; and two great grandchildren, Jordan and Georgia.
