Graveside services for Vera Adelene Carter, 90, of Houston, Texas, will be held Friday, January 11, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Carter Cemetery in San Jacinto County, Texas with Rev. Phil Herrington officiating.

Mrs. Carter was born November 20, 1928 in Huntsville, Texas, to parents, Richard Blalock and Ivy Lee (Aden) Blalock, and passed away January 1, 2019 in Katy, Texas. Vera married her husband, George, on July 18, 1947. She was a loving mother to her three children. She loved gardening in her flower beds, cooking, and making floral arrangements for the house. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Rich Blalock.

She is survived by her husband, George Carter Sr. of Houston, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Linda Coldwell and Barry Helton of Houston, Texas; son, George Carter Jr. of Houston, Texas; daughter, Carole Royer of Houston, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends.
