Funeral services for Verline Dean Smith, 90, of Livingston, Texas will be held Friday, September 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Mike Loftin officiating. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Verline was born August 22, 1936, in Muldrow, Oklahoma and passed away September 12, 2026, in Livingston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton Lloyd Phillips and Vennie (Smith) Phillips; brother, Bill Phillips and wife Nova Phillips; and sisters, Martha Phillips, Bonnie Lakey, and Barbara Porter.

She is survived by her husband, Jerrell Smith of Livingston, Texas; son, Jerry Smith Jr. of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Jacqueline Shair of Orange, Texas; grandchildren, Michael Shair, Crystal Shair, Jerred Shair, Kerrigan Shair, and Jennifer Smith; 13 great grandchildren; and brothers, Raymond Phillips and wife Tina, and James Phillips and wife Annette, all of Onalaska, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
