Verna Jane Burke age 92 of Onalaska passed away Sunday April 4, 2010 at her residence. A Celebration Of Life will be held Saturday April 10, 2010 at 2:00PM in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Frazier and Rev. Dale Snell officiating.

Verna was born October 20, 1917 in Thamesville, Ontario Canada to parents William A. Bodkin and Edith Patterson Bodkin. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Rita Bodkin Clark, and brothers Cecil Bodkin and Leigh Bodkin.

She is survived by her husband Orval Burke of Onalaska, son Thomas Wayne Burke of Pasadena, daughter Patricia Lee Winstead and husband Mack E. Winstead of Onalaska, and Joanne Clarise Marshall and husband Robert Larry Marshall of Fort Worth. She is also survived by her grandchildren Thomas Arthur Burke of Normangee, Terry Burke and wife Christine Burke of Kent County, Ontario, Canada, Brenda Kay White of Spring, Sherry Lynn Hoeler and husband John Hoeler of Plano, Edward Larry Marshall and wife Carie Martin of Austin, Carol Elizabeth McDermott and husband Andrew McDermott of Montgomery Village, Maryland, great grandchildren Timothy Hudson White of Houston, Grace Mallorie White of Spring, Samuel Tyen White of Trinity, Brian Burke of Kent County, Ontario Canada, Brenda Burke of Kent County, Ontario, Canada, Carly Beth Hoeler of Plano, Brad Walton Hoeler of Plano and Coailinn Rois McDermott of Montgomery Village, Maryland. Her two great grandchildren

Ashlynn White of Trinity and Ethan Burke of Kent County Ontario Canada, and numerous nieces & nephews also survive her.
