Obituary
Verne Brett Hunt, age 78 of Romayor, Texas, died on May 5, 2013, in Houston, Texas. He was born on January 10, 1935 in Candler, North Carolina, to parents William Brett Hunt and Anne Sue Cartledge Hunt. Mr. Hunt served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Hunt of Romayor, Texas; four daughters and one son, Bretta Sanford of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Craig Gears of Nebraska, Kim Nunez of Huntsville, Texas, Cassie Grimes-Newsom of Romayor, Texas, and Chelsea King of Moss Hill, Texas; eight grandchildren; Cody, Brooke, Austin, Hayley, Hope, Tristin, Bailey, Skylar, and Jordan ; one great grandchild, Colton.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 9, 2013, at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Pastor Shawn O?ÇÖHearn will conduct the services. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post # 8568 Honor Guard. Pallbearers are Timmy King, Luke King, James King, Patrick Newsom, Art Belcher and Greg Newman. Interment will be held at Holly Grove Cemetery in Polk County, following the chapel service.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas.
