Services for Vernon ""Pete"" Bruggman, 90, of Livingston, formerly of Cyclone, will be 2.00 p.m. Monday at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston. Mr. Bruggman died Wednesday, March 2nd, in Lufkin, Texas.
He was born December 4, 1920, to Lee and Clara (Kessler) Bruggman in?áBell?áCounty. He attended?áelementary school at North Elm and graduated from Rosebud High School in1939. He went into the Army on August 4, 1942. He served his country for 3 1/2 years in the Military Police and Medic Divisions during World War?áII. He then moved to Texas City and went to work for Monsanto Chemical Co. in 1946 and retired in 1982.?áHe?ámarried Lena Othella Wilson on January 16, 1948.
He is preceded in death by his wife?áand a Daughter Shirley Darlene Wohleb.
Survivors are?áa son Richard Lee Bruggman and wife Vickie, Grandson Vernon Ray Wohleb,?átwo great grandchildren, and a sister Clara Lee Tallent of Dallas.?á
