Funeral services for Vernon Clyde Followell, 76, of Onalaska, Texas will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, Texas with Dr. Sean Ferry officiating. Interment will follow at the White Oak Cemetery in New Caney, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday, July 25, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Vernon was born March 27, 1949 in Houston, Texas and passed away July 19, 2025 in Corrigan, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Followell and Ruby Mae Leonard Followell; first wife, Cindy Followell; brothers, Paul, Brian and Clyde; and sisters, Betty Jo, Maxine, Dorothy, and Violet.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Followell of Onalaska, Texas; daughters, Shannon Followell of Houston, Texas, Rebecca Lazenby of Onalaska, Texas, and Treyonne Rhodes and husband John of North Carolina; grandchildren, Rebecca Cook, Kattie Cook, Abby-Gail Cook, Daniel Cook, Alexis Lazenby, Elektra Strickland, Elijah Strickland, Gabriel Rhodes, Kaitlyn Austin Rhodes, and Jackson Rhodes; brother, James Followell and wife Laura of Huntsville, Texas; and sisters, Pauline Smith and husband Clyde, and Delores Noland, all of Houston, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
