Services for Vernon McCarver, Jr., 84, of Moscow, Texas will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with William Glass and Leslie Wilkinson officiating. Interment will follow at Jones Prairie Cemetery in Leggett, Texas. Visitation will be held Monday, April 8, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel.

Vernon was born, August 2, 1939 in Livingston, Texas and passed away April 4, 2024 in Corrigan, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 year, Frances McCarver; son, Justin McCarver; and parents, Vernon McCarver, Sr. and Jeffie "Peggy" D. (Todd) Hashaw.

He is survived by his daughter, Verna McCarver of Moscow, Texas; son, Tony McCarver of Moscow, Texas; brother, Gene Hashaw of Pasadena, Texas; grandsons, Dillon McCarver, Wessten McCarver, and Talon McCarver; and sister-in-law, Stella Murphy.

Pallbearers: Dillon McCarver, Wessten McCarver, Talon McCarver, Josh Mosley, Michael Murphy, and Joe Kosino.
