Vernon Towns Lang Sr., age 78 of Spring, Texas, was born August 21, 1934 in Camden, Texas, to parents, Louis and Mary (Cherry) Lang. Vernon passed away on November 26, 2012 in Spring, Texas.
Vernon is preceded in death by both of his parents, Louis and Mary (Cherry) Lang; wife, Hazel Marie Lang; brothers, Louis Lang and Eddie Carroll Lang; brother-in-law, Jack Lovett; sisters-in-law, Loraine Lang and Janell Lang. He is survived by his daughter, Terrie Manning of Houston, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Randall Swift of Southlake, Texas; son, Vernon Lang, Jr. of Houston, Texas; sister, Rhoda Mae Lovett of Shepherd, Texas; brother, Edwin Earl Lang of Oakhurst, Texas; grandchildren, Brandi Thames, Meagan Lezo, Harrison Swift, Sydney Swift, Aubrey Swift, Chase Lang, and Mandie Lang; great-grandchildren, Carlos Lezo and Anthony Lezo; numerous nieces, nephews and other friends.
Funeral services for Vernon Towns Lang, Sr. will be held Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 12:00 PM at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. A visitation will be held the same day, beginning at 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow the service at Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan, Texas. Brother Ray Hyden will be officiating.
