Funeral services for Versie Lee Davis, 89, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Church of God In Christ Church in Livingston, Texas with Pastor Robert Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Carrington Cemetery in Seven Oaks, Texas. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until service begins in the church.

Mrs. Davis was born August 11, 1926 in San Augustine, Texas, to parents, Andy Hunt and Jurushia (Glenn) Hunt, and passed away March 15, 2016 in Livingston, Texas. She was a homemaker all her life. She is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers and sisters, Stellarine Hunt Langford, Evonic Lee Hunt Wyrick, Tennessee Hunt, Lucille Hunt Brown, A.J. Hunt, and Tom Hunt.

She is survived by her daughters, Versie Gardner of Livingston, Texas, Mary Dunn of Houston, Texas, Loretta Phillips of Lufkin, Texas, and Sharon Logan of Sacramento, California; sons, Royce Davis of Conroe, Texas, James Davis of Sacramento, California, and Kenneth Phipps of Orlando, Florida; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Billy Hunt, Gary Hunt, Jewel Hunt, Bobby Hunt, Andy J. Hunt, Seymour Hunt, and B.J. Hunt; sisters, Letha Hunt, Lucindy Hale, Odessa Hawkins, Betty Watson, and Florence James; and numerous other relatives and friends.
