Funeral services for Wallace W. Walker, 87, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Saturday, July 18, 2015 beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. Military Honors provided by VFW Post# 8568. Visitation will held Friday, July 17, 2015 from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Wallace W. Walker, 87, of Livingston, TX, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on July 9 th , 2015.
Wallace was born in Fort Cobb, OK to Charles Olen and Ollie Walker September 24 th , 1927. He married Amanda Scott on June 27, 1947 in Houston, TX. He retired from Southwestern Bell in 1984 after 38 years of service. He then made his home in Livingston, TX. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the Navy. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, charter member of the Honor Guard and served three terms as the Livingston VFW Post Commander.
Wally was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Lloyd Walker, and Bobby Walker; sister Victoria Nigh; daughter Paula Geary; and great grandson Hayden Paske.
Wally is survived by wife Amanda Walker, daughters Brenda Walker and Wendy Walker, son Charles Walker, daughter in law Julie Walker, grandchildren William & April Keyworth, Brian & Melissa Geary, Paul & Sheree Paske, Scott Paske & Beth Mulhollan, Jason & Brandie Paske, Neisha Walker, Leah Walker, and Amanda Maddox; great-grandchildren Haley Paske, Hannah Paske, Tyler Keyworth, Hunter Paske, Gavin Kelley, Rhyan Maddox, Elizabeth Gray, Amber Paske, Grant Paske and Sebastian Maddox.
Pallbearers will be William Keyworth, Paul Paske, Brian Geary, Scott Paske, Jason Paske, Tyler Keyworth, Rick Oliver and Travis Foster.
Honorary Pallbearers: Ronnie Binnicker, Rick Binnicker, Floyd May, and Richard May
