Funeral services for Walter Amos Cones IV, 67, of Shepherd, Texas will be held Friday, June 26, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Interment will follow at the Jones Prairie Cemetery in Leggett, Texas. Visitation will be held on the day of service, from 1:00-2:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Walter was born October 14, 1958, in Livingston, Texas and passed away June 20, 2026, in Shepherd, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter A. Cones III and Rita Lucille Bass Cones; son, Aaron Feagin; and nephews, Shane Fann, Rodney McCandless, and Shawn Fann.

He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Fisher of Shepherd, Texas; granddaughter, Monica Fisher; grandson, Nathan Fisher; sisters, Latrell Cupit of Leggett, Texas, Pamela Collier of Leggett, Texas, Brenda Thompson of Leggett, Texas, and Rhonda Cones of Shepherd, Texas; and brother, William Ray Cones of Leggett, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
