A graveside service for Wanda Irene Childress, 97, of Spring, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Livingston, Texas

Wanda was born April 9, 1927 in Drumright, Oklahoma and passed away July 26, 2023 in Spring, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Chloe Arnold; husband, William Leo Childress, Sr.; daughter, Katherine Irene Bickley; great grandson, Hank Harrison Heard; and sisters, Lorraine, Sarah, Margaret, and Joanne.

She is survived by her son, William Leo Childress, Jr. of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Carol Heard and husband Jack of Conroe, Texas; son-in-law, Norman Bickley of Conroe, Texas; grandson, Chris Childress and wife Stephanie of Madisonville, Texas; granddaughters, Candace McLean and husband Cory of Fulshear, Texas, Ginny Bowles and husband Justin of Conroe, Texas, Betsy Fuller of Conroe, Texas, and Jacklyn Smejkal and husband Jeff of The Woodlands, Texas; grandson, Scott Heard and wife Hailey of the Woodlands, Texas; and great grandchildren, Nicole Elizabeth Childress and Haley Anne Childress, both of Madisonville, Texas, Cameron Lewis McLean, Cayla Lynn McLean, Courtney Lynn McLean, Connor Lewis McLean, and Cody Lewis Mclean, all of Fulshear, Texas, Katherine Sofia Baxter of California, Emma Claire Bowles of Conroe, Texas, Annie Caroline Heard, Charles Scott Heard, Beau Alexander Heard, Holliday Heather Heard, Jack Thomas Smejkal, Joy Alaine Smejkal, and Jenna Carol Smejkal, all of The Woodlands, Texas; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
