Obituary
Funeral services for Wayne Ronald and Charlotte Jean Read, 76 and 72, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the service begins at 2:00 p.m.
Mr. Read was born December 31, 1940 in Houston, Texas to parents, Hubert Holly Read and Mary (Harrington) Read, and passed away March 22, 2017 in Spring, Texas. During his life, he was a lifelong Master Mason in the Melrose Lodge 1294 in Houston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roger Read; and sister, Joyce Thompson.
Mrs. Read was born August 28, 1944 in Granite City, Illinois to parents, Herman Oral Simmons and Alma Lee (Gan) Simmons, and passed away March 22, 2017 in Spring, Texas. During her life, she was the proud co-owner, along with her husband, Wayne, of the Read's BBQ Restaurant in Old Town Spring, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents.
They are survived by their son, Russell Read and wife, Dawn of Cypress, Texas; daughter, Linda Wright and husband, Buck of Spring, Texas; son, Larry Read of Livingston, Texas; son, Wesley Read and wife, Meredith of Fort Worth, Texas; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Read is also survived by his sister, Naomi Van Langen and husband, Burk of Atascocita, Texas. Mrs. Read is also survived by her brother, Ronnie Morgan and wife, Pat of West Virginia; sister, Brenda White of Nevada; sister, Madonna Wells and husband, Michael of Livingston, Texas; and brother, Richard Morgan and wife, Teresa of Oklahoma.
