Obituary
Funeral services for Wayne "Pops" Perkey, 66, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Pastor Jim officiating. Interment will follow in the Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Military Honors will be provided by VFW Post# 8568. Visitation will be held Friday, March 13, 2015 beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas.
Mr. Perkey was born April 16, 1948 in Knoxville, Tennessee to parents, Jackson Albert Perkey and Lola (Smith) Perkey, and passed away on March 6, 2015 in Livingston, Texas. Pops is remembered by family and friends as a jokester and also for his good humor. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Perkey of Livingston, Texas; daughters, Bonnie Perkey and Wayne Abbott of Livingston, Texas, and Jenny Perkey of Livingston, Texas; sons, David Perkey and Jamie Presswood of Livingston, Texas, Christopher Perkey of Livingston, Texas, Jonathan Perkey and Ashley Bradley of Russellville, Kentucky, Leonard Perkey, Jr. of Alabama; grandchildren, Taylor Abbott, Anthony Abbott, Alex Abbott, Jackson Abbott, Addison Abbott, Daniel Perry, Kendra Franks, Arianna Perkey and Dakota Perkey; sister, Ellen "Nook" Dempsey, of Adams, Tennessee; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
