Funeral services for Wesley Neal Kay, Sr., 79, of Onalaska, Texas, will be held Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, Texas with Bro. Doyle Hodge officiating. Interment will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Onalaska, Texas.
Mr. Kay was born February 24, 1939 in Castor, Louisiana, to parents, Lawrence C. Kay and Mary Nelwyn (Havard) Kay and passed away September 12, 2018 in Onalaska, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; great granddaughter, Paislee Bob-Manuel; sisters, Mary Nell Pardee and Irene Powell; and special friend, Jack Stutts.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila Kay of Onalaska, Texas; daughter, Karen Cuevas of Livingston, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Wesley Neal Jr. and Gina Kay of Galveston, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Jennifer Kay of Livingston, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth Pauline and Mark McCrocklin of Shreveport, Louisiana; daughter and son-in-law, Gwendoline and Chris Reeves of Galveston, Texas; 19 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; sister, Dora Beth Weaver of Campti, Louisiana; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Catherine Kay of Campti, Louisiana; brother, James Kay of Onalaska, Texas; sister, Lanora Craig of Keithville, Louisiana; brother, Wayne Kay of Ringold, Louisiana; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Junior Kerry of Windfield, Louisiana; his beloved pet, Lady Bug; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
