Wesley Eugene Slocum age 50 of Livingston passed away Wednesday July 14, 2010 in Humble. Funeral services will be held Friday July 23, 2010 in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Peebles Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday July 22, 2010 from 5:00PM until 10:00PM also in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel.

Wesley was born February 4, 1960 in Tampa, Florida to parents Yale Eugene Slocum and Annie Maxine Thomas.

He is survived by his step son Christopher Lewis Wagnone, son Wesley Eugene Slocum II, wife Cheryl Marie Slocum, granddaughter Amber Gana, ex wife Nita Slocum, parents Yale ""Bud"" and Annie Slocum, sister Mary Maxwell, brother in law Jimmy Maxwell, sister Tammy Mercer and husband George Jr., nephews Bryan Kay and wife KC, and Lonnie Nicklas and wife Melody, nieces and nephews Mindy Ashley Shawn Mercer, Samantha, Dakota Maxwell, and Jessie Johnson.

Wesley is preceded in death by his brother Dale Slocum, sister Johanna Slocum, grandparents Wesley & Johanna Slocum, and grandmother Plumber Barber.

Serving as pallbearers will be George Mercer Jr., Howard Kay, Anthony Wheeler, David Gana, Curtis Scogin, Johnny Mercer. Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Lawless, Dean Krell, Doug Gana, and Dale Gana.
