Wilbur Lee Bridges, 86, of Shepherd, Texas was born January 10, 1939 in Elkhart, Texas and passed away September 26, 2025 in Shepherd, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester Lee Bridges and Edwina Wright Bridges; and brother, Jack Lewis Bridges.

Wilbur attended Elkhart Texas High School, graduating in 1957, and Sam Houston State University, graduating in 1963.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Bridges of Shepherd, Texas; daughter, Lindsey Bridges Fuhrman and husband Nicholas of Lindsey, Texas; son, Jeremy Lewis Bridges and wife Meghan of Azle, Texas; daughter, Audra Thomas and husband Robert of Shepherd, Texas; son, David Sherrouse and wife Tina of Conroe, Texas; and grandchildren, Harlie Sherrouse, Riley Sherrouse, Wyatt Henry Fuhrmann, Tyler Fuhrmann, Sydney Fuhrmann, Charlie Bridges, and Baron Bridges,; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Cochran Funeral Home is in charge of the cremation arrangements.
