Mr. Wilbur Lee McBee, 78, of Livingston, Texas was born March 16, 1939 in Houston, Texas to parents, Ruby Terrell McBee and Ocie Beatrice (Patton) McBee, and passed away on July 4, 2017 in Livingston, Texas. During his life, Wilbur served his country in the Army National Guard and in the Marines for 3 years. He enjoyed gardening and working in his flower beds. His family and friends were very important to him and he would go above and beyond for them. He had several very close friends whom were like family to him. Everyone knew Wilbur as very special and he never met a stranger. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ellen McBee; daughter, Cynthia McBee; sister, Sissy Walston; and brothers, Tommy McBee and Charles McBee.
He is survived by his daughter, Dianna McBee Carpenter and husband, Allen of Clarksville, Arkansas; daughter, Debra McBee of Livingston, Texas; son, David McBee and wife, Linda of Magnolia, Texas; daughter, Tammy McBee Hall and husband, Bobby of Magnolia, Texas; daughter, Juanita McBee Etie and husband, Herbert of Dickinson, Texas; grandchildren, Jeremy Carpenter of Clarksville, Arkansas, Tabatha Carpenter Turner of Ozone, Arkansas, Candace Day Butler of Cypress, Texas, Tamara Sullavan of Austin, Texas, Joshua Sullavan of Magnolia, Texas, and Heather Seymour of Dickinson, Texas; 23 great-grandchildren; brother, Donny McBee and wife, Maxine; sister, Mary Ann Fourniquet; brother, Harold McBee and wife, June; sister-in-law, Joyce McBee; and sister-in-law, Nell McBee; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
A memorial service will be held in the First United Methodist Church in Livingston, Texas on August 5, 2017 at 9:00 a.m.
