Funeral services for William Ross Acres, 92, of Onalaska, Texas will be held Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at the First Baptist Church in Onalaska, Texas with Bro. Matthew Quick and Alan Bramblett officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday, November 28, 2025, from 5:00-8:00 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chaple in Onalaska, Texas.

William was born October 24, 1933 in Houston, Texas and passed away November 24, 2025 in Onalaska, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Lewis Acres and Mary Enid Floyd Acres; first wife, Marjorie Way Acres; grandsons, Maylon Acres and Cody Scott; stepson, Wayne Lindsay; and brother, Patrick Acres.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Acres of Onalaska, Texas; son, Stephen Acres and wife Arlene of Henderson, Texas; daughter, Sharon O'Neil and husband Bobby of San Saba, Texas; stepdaughters, Rhonda Tucker and husband Wayne of Livingston, Texas, and Jo Ellen Gardiner and husband Johnny of Onalaska, Texas; stepsons, Chris Routson of Onalaska, Texas and Steven Smelley of Dayton, Texas; 18 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Wayne Tucker, Dewey Free, Chris Routson, Patrick Schieffer, Hiram Davidson, and Brian Peterson.
